What are African Renaissance challenges?
Poverty Alleviation – addressing the core issues relating to poverty in forest communities. These include access to training, technology, agricultural techniques, adding value to products, access to capital and markets
Food Security and Health – addressing the link between food security and disease at all levels in the community through education, access to treatment and care, issues related to HIV/Aids , STD's, malaria and TB and regular access to a balanced and nutritious diet.
Biodiversity Conservation in African forests and woodland – addressing unsustainable exploitation of forest resources by communities and individuals by supporting extension work programmes in these communities and identifying and supporting alternative sustainable exploitation of resources by communities and individuals.
